About JamieBouloux As founder and CEO of EmergIn Risk Jamie draws heavily on his extensive experience gained from both his professional and personal life. Having spent his formative years in culturally diverse places such as Belgium, South Africa, Hong Kong and the US, he took this experience into the insurance world and quickly rose to a number of management positions at AIG in the Cyber, Technology and Media space. During this time Jamie built- out the cyber strategy in more than 40 territories in the EMEA region, before heading to CFC Underwriting to lead their Large Corporate Cyber facility and Technology and Media practice. With a background in economics as well as involvement in D&O products, Jamie provides proven leadership and insight on cyber risk that goes beyond the immediate and into the deeper issues facing businesses today. This includes understanding the impact from downtime of IT systems on revenues or reputation, the nuances of how different threats manifest across different industries, and the importance of understanding not just a company’s own security posture but also how supply chains are intrinsically linked to the value in the insurance solutions he has brought to the market. Finance Monthly. USA Firm Profile As a part of the Ryan Specialty family of underwriting manager companies, EmergIn enjoys the full backing of the operational resources and senior management leadership afforded by being part of an organisation with enviable industry bench-strength in all areas – allowing the rare mix of both an agile approach to the constantly-changing threat landscape whilst having the solid foundations of a large organisation. With offices in London, the US and Europe, the team has grown from its inception in 2016 to now over 20 employees dedicated to supporting brokers and therefore their insureds with risk transfer needs. At its core, EmergIn is known for innovation, across all areas EmergIn operates in. We strategically look to serve the insurance market by establishing an approach focused on an excess strategy in the Cyber arena whilst maintaining a hard-won position as a go-to provider of cover for Media liability programs on a primary basis. EmergIn aligns insurance covers with the threats faced by businesses in each industry class, allowing the focus of underwriting to be on those areas of risk as opposed to a one-size-fits-all approach which results in a better outcome for all involved. By pushing the conversation on from simple risk transfer to truly addressing the types of risk events that could be directed at companies or the supply chains they rely on for the success of their enterprises, EmergIn is able to support its broker-partners with the placement of the insurance programs and the insureds with the protection of their business from the unanticipated incident or claim. At EmergIn, we believe that risk transfer solutions exist to allow organisations to offset today’s operational exposures to be able to invest in tomorrow’s business needs. EmergIn, looks to provide cyber and technology insurance solutions designed to equip large, and multinational, businesses with the cover needed to make these investments. By aligning insurance products with the insured’s risk management protocols, established to deliver on tomorrow’s strategic obligations, EmergIn can tailor solutions to help insulate the challenges modern companies realise as a result of extreme reliance on technology. EmergIn’s 3rd party cyber proposition can be extended to provide professional liability to cutting edge technology firms or other companies whose operations are technology centric. In the US EmergIn also offers a specialised Media E&O insurance, offering coverage for a wide variety of media and tech related companies, as well as those seeking coverage for specific media-linked services such as marketing or PR.
